the exhibition title “analog” connects and describes the two artistic positions presented by simone hamann and anja kutzki. similar, comparable, corresponding, and alike are just some of the synonyms associated with the title.
“analog” also refers to something that exists in physical form or is transmitted through physical means — pointing to the importance of materiality and the process of creation. both artists deliberately embrace an analog approach to their work and refrain from using digital tools.
