“transitions01 – exploring the boundaries of concrete art” marks the beginning of a new exhibition series dedicated to the relevance and future perspectives of concrete art. this artistic movement deliberately avoids narrative content and the need for iconographic knowledge, unfolding its impact directly through perception and visual experience — universally accessible and timeless.

the first edition of the series takes place from march 21 to april 12, 2026, at produzentengalerie passau. the opening reception with all participating artists will be held on friday, march 20, 2026, at 6 pm. the exhibition is curated by artist simone hamann and gallerist robère scholz, galerie r8m cologne.

wolfgang berndt presents computer-generated prints based on algorithmic processes. simone hamann explores the interaction of color and form through serial painting. mary kim works with modular, multicolored structures and spatial installations. siegfried kreitner presents autonomous light objects and mechanical organisms without functional purpose. rob r. ros transforms lottery results into strictly conceptual graphic works in his series “fortuna.”

transitions01 is the beginning of an ongoing exhibition format taking place at changing locations. it invites visitors to rediscover concrete art as a vibrant and continuously evolving form of artistic expression.
