hamann’s bodies of work explore the effects of colors and forms in interaction with personal perception, reception, and unconscious ideas. philosophical reflections are mirrored in organic forms emerging from clouds: first round, then evolving into shapes with bulges and indentations, applied sometimes monochromatically and at other times in transparent, glazed layers.
these “bubbles” and “simultaneous” appear individually, overlap, and expand into space. nothing is static; everything is in motion. through series, the complexity and infinite variety of possible variations are suggested.
in her series “entanglements,” she takes up this subjective perception and processes autobiographical references through the use of different materials.
